Applied Communication Skills

Melbourne Community Speech Pathology

Transforming adult communication

Applied Communication Skills (ACS) has provided speech pathology in Melbourne and Victoria for over twenty-five years and provides practical assessment and treatment of a wide range of complex communication disabilities resulting from developmental or acquired brain impairments.

Our approach integrates evidence-based practice into individually targeted programs.

ACS works closely with a number of other highly respected Allied Health Practices to ensure that capacity building programs are implemented in a consistent and effective manner.

Assessments are provided at our office or in the client’s own home or workplace, and where possible, therapy is completed in the client's own environment. Integration into the community is undertaken by skill building and careful grading, in line with current recommendations for effective capacity building.

As a private practice, our clients and families are treated as individuals and their participation and choices are encouraged throughout the therapy process.  We provide education and training to support workers, students and care providers.
